What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound found in hemp or marijuana plants that has been shown to affect the Endocannabinoid system in reducing pain and treating a variety of other symptoms and health problems. Unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive and has minimal side effects.

The Endocannabinoid system in the human body has two receptors for cannabinoids called CB1 and CB2 receptors, CB1 receptors in the brain deal with movement, pain, mood, emotion, appetite, memory and more.  CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system and affect inflammation and pain.
